Zenit and Gazprombank Present — The Grand Festival of Football

The Grand Festival of Football is a unique roadshow from the Zenit Academy and supported by Gazprombank.

The festival lasted all summer, starting on 1 June in Saratov and continuing on to Sochi (11 June), Kaliningrad (9 July), St. Petersburg (16–17 July), Omsk (August 7) and ending on 21 August in Yekaterinburg. In each of these cities Zenit will set-up a football pitch for young players to play football and have the chance to begin their dreams of a professional career. Trainers from the Zenit Academy instructed the players and selected the players with the most potential from each city to a special selection camp in Sochi where they may get the chance to join Zenit.

During the autumn festival at the Sochi sports camp, 30 of the best players from the Grand Festival of Football took part in the special training sessions, they learnt to develop their key skills. The boys flights, training, accommodation and entertainment programs were all paid for by Gazprombank.

The Grand Festival of Football included not only a football pitch, but also lots of children’s and family entertainment including, rides, workshops, football freestyle, championship table football, prize draws, gifts and autograph sessions with the players.
