FC Zenit official statement

FC Zenit considers the events of the 16th matchday of the SOGAZ Russian Premier League vs. Dynamo Moscow to be unacceptable. We sincerely regret that the health of one of the best goalkeepers in Russia, a national team goalkeeper, was threatened by the obvious stupidity and irresponsibility of the fans in Khimki Arena.

We strongly condemn the actions that led to the stoppage of play in today`s match, and share the concerns of all those who care about football over what happened in the match.

At the same time, we would note that ticket sales, as well as inspections of all fans entering Khimki Arena, were entirely the responsibility of the match organizers. Therefore our shared task now is to identify those who caused the incident and to make an objective investigation of what happened.

We wish Anton Shunin a quick return to play, and we`ll do everything possible for the provocateurs to be punished.
