Zenit-Y ready for play once again

Anatoly Davydov`s players have entered the last stage of preparation for their match with their peers from Perm.

Zenit-Y`s last practice before its next match cycle finished at Petrovsky Stadium on Thursday. The young blue-white-light blue players went for their traditional pre-match night at the hotel, where they will have a series of theoretical classes and will rest before Friday`s match.

– Everyone in the team understands how important the match with Amkar is, – said Anatoly Davydov. – The guys are in good physical shape after the break. We`ll get to check our mood, our tactics, our morale, and our class at Friday`s match. We didn`t have the best mood after the match with Spartak-Nalchik, but now we`ve calmed down and were ready for the next matches in the most serious way possible.

Unfortunately, Anatoly Davydov still doesn`t have his full team. Solomon Kverkvelia is playing for the Georgian national youth side in the qualification round for Euro-2011: his side has beaten Greece and lost to Portugal so far, and will play the deciding match against Azerbaijan on Saturday for entering the elite round. Basel Abdulfattakh and Aslan Dudiev are still recovering after injuries.

– We have to win at home, – underlines Ilya Sagdatullin. – We`ve worked on our mistakes from the last match, and we`ve improved our runs. I think we`re in good form for this match, both physically and psychologically.

Other than injuries, the entire Zenit-Y squad is available for Friday`s match, with no disqualifications. Furthermore, Luciano Spalletti has sent Maxim Kanunnikov and Alexey Ionov to play for Zenit-Y.
