Russia beat India in the Granatkin Memorial Tournament opener

On 8 January in St. Petersburg the XXIX tournament in memory of Russia's first FIFA vice-president Valentine Granatkin opened.
On the opening day of the tournament, the young Russian team beat India 8-0. The match included two Zenit Academy players, Nikita Kakkoev and Samir Bayramov, who joined the action at half-time. 

The next match for Mikhail Galaktionov's team is on 10 January against Latvia. On 9 January, the St. Petersburg team will play its first match. This team includes 12 players from the Gazprom Zenit academy.
