Following the discussion, it was decided that the game in the 29th round of the league championship of Russia - Zenit v Krasnodar, will be held at the blue-white-sky blues former home, the Petrovsky. This measure will allow for the pitch at Stadium St. Petersburg to be ready for matches in the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and to protect the fresh turf from any additional stress.

All parties stated that the two recent games held at  Stadium St. Petersburg have been successfully, as have the other events held there. Based on observations of the Russia 2018 organising Committee and FIFA, the functional readiness of the arena meets the required standards for technical equipment and for the logistics of those in attendance. The remaining time before the Confederations Cup will be used by those involved for the preparation of the tournament and to use this time for further work on the creation of services to increase the comfort of fans and the level of hospitality at the stadium.
