The tournament will include eight teams divided into two groups. Igor Simutenkov's team will take on Germany's Wolfsburg and TUS Ennepetal and Brazil's Fluminense. In the other group will be Hamburg, Schalke 04, Denmark's FC Midtjylland and Atletico Mineiro from Brazil. 

The top two teams from each group will go forward to the semi-finals. The matches will be two halves of 25 minutes each. The tournament is for players born on or after January 1, 1998 and can include three players born in 1997. 

Zenit's first game will be on 3 June against Wolfsburg in Ennepetal.
