The Gazprom Academy open a 16th branch in St. Petersburg

On the 29th May the club held a ceremony to open another branch of the blue-white-sky blue Academy in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg.
The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Primorsky district local government, Nikoli Tsed, Zenit's director of youth development Artem Fomenko and Academy director and former Russian international striker Dmitri Radchenko.

"Welcome to the Zenit system of the Academy, we are pleased that our blue-white-sky blue family is increasing," said Mr. Fomenko to the group in attendance. "We train, develop and become stronger players, we give you things that will help you in every way."

The Seaside branch is the sixteenth centre of the Gazprom Academy and is based at the Olympic Hopes stadium at Akkuratova street.

In April, the branch had its first selection process and now every week there will be an open workout, which any boy born between 2008-2011 can come and try out.
