The Zenit Academy complex to be upgraded

On 1 June at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Zenit FC signed an agreement with the Government of St. Petersburg for the reconstruction of the club's Academy and sports facilities on Vernosti Street.
The agreement was signed by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Georgy Poltavchenko and Sergei Fursenko, Zenit's chairman.

It is expected that after the reconstruction and upgrade, the capacity for students at the football school will increase from 250 to 500 and the Academy's stadium will be able to hold First Division football matches. The upgrade will also include the building of a full-size pitch that will allow for training throughout the year.

The reconstruction and modernization project of schools will be phased over five years and it should not interrupt the work of the Academy.
