Alexander, congratulates on joining Zenit, how do you feel? 

Thank you very much, I feel very positive! There is a lot of work to do and I need to join up with the team as soon as possible to help the team get to their best. 

How did the negotiations go? 

A few days after the championship ended we began negotiating. I thought about things, weighing up the pros and cons, consulting with my family, but of course, I took the offer. 

Was Roberto Mancini, one of the factors in the transfer? 

Of course, he is a coach who has achieved a lot in European football. His experience and knowledge will help Zenit to become even better. 

Where are you most comfortable playing? In the center or out wide? 

Last season, I was playing in the center of midfield. But I'm happy in any position.

Are you ready for this level of competition? 

I hope so, there's such a high level of competition here. Of course, Zenit have some of the best players in Russia in every position and competition is good for players to grow and improve. 

Tell us about the national team and the atmosphere of the Confederations Cup? 

There were very comfortable conditions created for the Russian team, and from what I hear, all the other teams were very satisfied with the organization and the way fans took to it. I would like to thank the supporters who at every game filled stadiums and actively supported the team. 

What about Stadium St. Petersburg, what is your impression of the arena? 

It's excellent! The opening match was there and the opening ceremony was beautiful. I really liked the stadium, it was very comfortable. Maybe there were some issues before, but there were no problems for me. 

And what are you doing now? 

Tonight I will fly to St. Petersburg and tomorrow I will take a medical. Then I will join the team for the second Gazprom Training Camp.
