Sergey Fursenko: "I want to thank the supporters"

The club president on the Europa League match, the record attendance and Stadium St. Petersburg.
We need to analyze what took place today. The fans came to see a win, but there are no victories without defeats.

In your opinion, did you underestimate the other team?

No, I think that they played well and got a fair result,  we must remember that we played an absolutely experimental team that had not played together before and so it was an extremely tough game.

The next match is against Spartak Moscow, any thought on this game?

This is a true test of strength. I think that in games like this, the team's character is forged, the players, the coaches and club presidents.

Rigoni's agent has said that he arrives here tomorrow. Can you confirm this?

We are happy when guests come to visit us.

Should we expect a full stadium at the next game? How are ticket sales?

Yes, tickets are almost sold out. I think that some tickets related to safety will be held back and we do have some tickets still for sale, but we are looking at a full stadium.

Today, many fans could not take their seats until the 35th minute of the match and there were large queues around the stadium, why was this?

I think that everyone needs to come a little earlier because that whole structure of the stadium just works out this way. Our stewards are working hard trying to get everyone to their seats via the different entrances, but we would ask everyone just to come a little earlier. It is a very large stadium, with enormous dimensions. Before people were able to come 10 minutes before the match and take their seats in the stadium. Here, you have to come an hour before. At our next game we will say goodbye to Sasha Kerzhakov, so everyone will come earlier and everything will be fine.

Can you tell us what we can expect on Sunday at this event for Kerzhakov?

You will see everything then!  Sasha has been a great player for us, he is the club record goalscorer and the young players are really important to him. As well as being a football player, he is also a charismatic person and is very good in front of the camera, so I think his future will be very positive.

How many Spartak fans should we expect at Sunday's game?

They have taken up their full quota so we are expecting 5,500 Spartak fans in the stadium.

Will the roof be open or closed during Autumn?

We worked on this project together with the city authorities so we can avoid problems when the weather is bad. During the previous game when we closed it, despite there being some leaks, the terrible downpour didn't affect the game, which might have been stopped if the roof had not been closed. There are some constructive defects, but these are being dealt with and I hope that these leaks will not happen again. We are used to supporting the team at the Petrovsky where it can be very cold, so it will only get better.

What's the situation with the pitch and changing the grass?

The Allianz Arena is comparable and we all know it, many of us were there and like it. The players are always happy to play there. Four times a year they change the grass. Therefore, there is nothing to worry about. There are additional costs, which we can cope with.

Do you have any idea when it will be changed?

I think that when we get to the international break, we will change it then.

In September?

No. I think that in September it will still be perfect.

FIFA are dismantling their media area, so will there be an opportunity for the club to roll out the field?

Once they have done it we'll talk about this.

What is the future of Yuri Lodygin?

He is a good, high-quality goalkeeper and a member of our team. Today he played, did not make any mistakes. He conceded a goal that any goalkeeper would have. It is premature to talk about anything like this.

Today was a record for attendance and the club is working in this direction. Will there be anything else to attract more fans?

Of course. I want to thank the supporters. They were just really fantastic today. I'm proud that despite the fact that the game was not the best, they still supported the team until the very end.
