Roberto Mancini: "We have 90 minutes to play better than last week"

The Zenit boss on the upcoming game with Utrecht, Rigoni coming to St. Petersburg and the departure of other players.
Today we saw Rigoni at training. Is he available for you? Recently we saw Giuliano at a press conference, but he has left, are any other players leaving?

This was one of Rigoni's first training sessions with us, let's see how he does in the next few days and decide if he will be ready to play on Sunday. Giuliano wanted to be at a club where he would be a regular starter, he needed game time so he could compete for a place in the Brazilian national team. He chose a club that gave him that opportunity.

Shatov and Dzyuba did not go to Perm, how are they now and are they fit for Utrecht?

As you can see, they have recovered, they are training. They can play tomorrow and Sunday.

And Zhirkov and Anyukov?

Tomorrow we are definitely counting-out Zhirkov and Anyukov, for Sunday we'll see.

Is there any news about the future of Artem Dzyuba?

Nothing new. He is training, he is ready to play tomorrow and Sunday. There isn't any news.

Can you explain why the team lost in Holland? How will you make sure that tomorrow there will be a different Zenit on the pitch?

We lost because there are wins, loses and draws in football. This is normal. It is impossible for a team to win every match. Qualification matches in the playoffs are doubly dangerous, it is only the beginning of the season, not all the players are at their optimal physical condition and defeats happens. Tomorrow we have 90 minutes to play better than we played last week and get to the group stage. As for the match in Holland, I think that we played on equal terms, it could have been a draw, but we made a pretty stupid mistake and let one in.

Why did you sign Rigoni?" Who else can we expect to see?

As for transfers, we'll see what can happen. While there are no specifics I can tell you. We have seen a lot of good players leave, more than ten. Among them were Javi Garcia and Giuliano, who knew the Russian championship very well and so we have signed other players. As for any more transfers, let's see what happens.

Emiliano Rigoni is a good midfielder and a good player, but we'll see this on the pitch.

You went to the hockey on Monday, how did you find it?

I really liked it, I've never been to hockey before and thought it was very good. Although I do not understand hockey, I thought that SKA looked like a very strong team.
