Roberto Mancini: "I am totally pleased"

Roberto Mancini on the win against Ufa, Dzyuba's game, Kaplenko's debut and Shatov's injury status.
I have already said that all the games in the Russian championship are very tough and the game today was rather difficult. We were very helped by two quick goals and this untied our hands and allowed us more freedom.

Dzuba for the second time in a row started. How did he convince you to pick him? Will he always start now?

He is a player, like everyone else. He is gradually reaching his optimal form, gradually his game is improving and he is starting more. This is absolutely normal and he still has the potential to improve further.

Today 18-year-old Kiril Kaplenko made his debut. Why did he get a chance today?

He played today because he has amazing playing abilities, he is a good player and tries very hard in training. He deserved to make his debut today. Kaplenko has trained with us since the training camps, I've followed him and he has impressed me.

How is Shatov? And has Paredes recovered after the Europa League game?

Shatov has a minor injury, we hope that he will be back soon, in three or four days. Paredes feels much better and is absolutely ready for the next game.

After today's win, Zenit pulled away from Spartak by 11 points. Can you say that they will not be champions this season?

Spartak are a fairly strong team. We have another 20 matches ahead and anything can happen, especially considering that we have the winter break, during which teams can change. Nothing has been decided yet.

Is it possible to say that the team is in optimal condition and that you have two starting XI's to pick from?

I cannot say that we have two equal teams, we are scoring a lot and in the match against Dynamo we missed a couple of opportunities that we should have scored. I am very happy with what is happening now with the team. I am totally satisfied.
