    Khodjaniyazov scores first goal for Russia U-17 at the European Championship
    Russia`s national youth team with 1996 birthdays played its first match of Euro U-17 on May 5. The team includes two players from Zenit`s Academy.

    Russia opened the European championship with a big win over Ukraine — 3:0. The first goal was scored by Zenit youth team player Jamaldin Khodjaniyazov in the 48th minute. The Zenit prospect sent in a beautiful direct kick to give Russian the lead.

    Alexey Gasilin, another Zenit youth team player, started for Russia and was substituted at halftime.

    Russia U-17 will play its next match on May 8th vs. Croatia.
