Robert Mak joins Zenit

The Slovakian international midfielder has become the club's first signing of the 2016/17 season. The player has signed a 4 year contract.
Mak is a native of Bratislava and began playing football at local side Slovan. Aged 13-year-old he moved to Manchester City academy and played for their reserves.

In 2010 he joined Nuremberg and in 2014 he went to Greek team PAOK.   Since 2013, he has been a regular selection for Slovakia. He has 30 caps with 7 goals to his name and took part in the European Championship in France. 

Twice, in 2011 and 2012, he won the Peter Dubovskoy award for the best young player from Slovakia.
