St. Petersburg present the city's logo for Euro 2020

On 18 January on Vasilevsky Island in St. Petersburg the design for the city's logo for Euro 2020 was launched.
The event was attended by UEFA vice- resident Alexander Ceferin, Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Russian Football Union, Vitaly Mutko, St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko, Zenit President Alexander Dyukov and Stanislav Cherchesov, Russian team manager.

The 2020 European Championship will include 24 teams and for the first time the tournament will be held in 13 stadiums in 12 countries, including Russia. St Petersburg will hold matches in the group stage and the quarter-finals. 

"Euro 2020 will be the 60th anniversary of the European championships and it will be a special tournament." - said Alexander Ceferin. "The matches will be held across Europe - from north to south and from east to west." 

"Zenit are the favorite club of the city and the club have done a lot for the development of the city's infrastructure," said Alexander Dyukov. "Everyone is ready to match up with the level of this tournament. Also, our city is famous for its active and loyal fans. They will have the opportunity to take part in such an important football event like the European Championship."

The semi-finals and final will be held in London at Wembley Stadium, the group round matches and quarter-finals will be held in St. Petersburg, Munich, Rome and Baku, while Amsterdam, Bilbao, Brussels, Budapest, Bucharest, Glasgow, Dublin and Copenhagen will host the remaining games.
