Two Zenit Academy players win the Granatkin Memorial Tournament.

On 21 January in St. Petersburg, The memorial tournament, named after the first Russian FIFA vice-president Valentin Granatkin was completed. The winners were Russia, with a team made up of players born in 1999.
In the final Russia beat Kazakhstan 1-0, with the only goal in the game coming from Nikita Polyakov from St. Petersburg. 

Nikita Kakkoev, who started all six games and Samir Bayramov, who played in three matches. are both Zenit Academy players and won winner's medals with the Russian team.  

The third place medals went to the St. Petersburg team led by director of the Gazprom Academy Vladimir Kazachenko. In the match for third place St. Petersburg defeated Greece 4-2, with Zenit's Ephraim Vartanian scoring twice. Also in the city's team were ten blue-white-sky blue academy players.
