Robert, congratulations on being part of Zenit, how do you feel?

I'm feeling just fine! Zenit are one of the biggest clubs in Europe and  in Russia, so now I feel very excited. I cannot wait for when I can join up with the team and get out on the pitch.

What do you already know about Zenit and St. Petersburg? 

I know lots, because I've been speaking to Tomas (Hubocan) and Martin (Skrtel) and they told me a lot about the club and the city. They explained what I can expect and said to me that Zenit will be the champions. I hope to do everything that is expected of me.

You are the fourth Slovakian to join our club. Is this an additional responsibility? 

Every player is different. Tomas spent a lot of time here, Martin too and everyone is saying only good things about them. I can only repeat that I can't wait to meet and help the team. 

Have you spoken with the Manager? 

Unfortunately not yet, he is preparing the team for the game in Moscow. But as soon as they return I'll immediately meet him. 

For the fans who don't know you as a player tell us where you would like to play, what do you do best? 

I can play on the right or left wing and in attack. Last season I was largely a striker. I like to go one-on-one with people, I like to score and create goals. I really want to win the championship, to get into the Champions League and this year to help the team in the Europa League. 

Just a few weeks ago you played against Russia at the Euros, some of those players will now be your team mates, how do you think they will greet you?

Of course I remember the match very well, it was very recently. It was a big win for Slovakia, because the Russian team are very strong. And yes, now I'm ready to meet the players. It is an honour. Of course, I hope that will be good as we are now going to play together and try to forget what happened at the Euros.

Have you been allocated a number? 

I like to play with number 11 but I know that number is already taken, so we'll decide a little later. 

The Super Cup is tomorrow, are you planning to watch?

Of course I'll be watching and I hope that when the team returns to St. Petersburg the atmosphere is excellent thanks to the win.

Finally is there anything you want to say to the fans of Zenit? 

I cannot say anything special as it's difficult for me to find specific words, but I will try to do everything to please them and move forward. I can't wait until I can play in front of them!
