Zenit are the most popular club in Russia and Dzyuba the second most popular player

On 27 July the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Centre published the results of a survey about the football preferences of Russians.
The study was conducted in July 2016 in 130 towns in 46 regions of the country using personal interviews. Zenit, for the second consecutive year ranked first in the popularity table for Russian football clubs, ahead of Spartak and CSKA Moscow, who shared second place. The third, fourth and fifth places were taken by Rostov, Krasnodar and Rubin, respectively. 

Artem Dzyuba came in second in the list for the most popular players in the country, second only to Igor Akinfeev. Third place went to former Zenit star Andrei Arshavin and in fourth came Alexander Kerzhakov, Alexander Kokorin made up the top five. Also in the list were Zenit stars Oleg Shatov (10th place), Hulk (15th) and Vyacheslav Malafeev (17th).

According a survey fro, research company Havas Sports & Entertainment, held in 2014, across 15 countries, Zenit have a total fanbase of around 15 million people worldwide.
