"The strength of a lion. The soul of the city": Zenit and Nike present the new home kit for the 2017/18 season

The club's new kit is inspired by the traditions of the club, a link to the past and a united belief in Zenit.

The new home kit’s design is inspired by the legendary 1950 match against Dynamo Leningrad, a light blue shirt, dark blue shorts and socks, as well as an enlarged club badge.

On the inside of the collar of the new home shirt is the inscription: "One city. One team" designed to convey the main idea of the kit. The home shorts and socks are dark blue.The round-neck collar is light blue at the front and dark blue at the back.

Zenit Football Club appreciates tradition, but is also open to new ideas in the design of our club kits. The inspiration for our third-kit comes from three areas: Gold representing victory, the club’s energy and the Carl Faberge’s famous creations, made in St. Petersburg for the imperial family.


Nike Dri-FIT is a high-performance, microfiber, polyester fabric that moves sweat away from the body and to the fabric surface, where it evaporates. As a result, Dri-FIT keeps athletes dry and comfortable.

The mesh material and perforations provide better air circulation and help regulate the player's body temperature. 

Caring for the environment

The kit is made from recycled polyester. This technology provides a less negative impact on the environment. The shirts and shorts are made from recycled polyester fabric. The material was produced from plastic bottles, especially for producing molten thin filament. 

Creating each set of equipment on average uses, 16 recycled bottles. Over the past eight years, Nike have used more than 3 billion bottles, enough to cover 5,200 football fields. 


The new Zenit kit will go on sale in club stores and shop.fc-zenit.ru after 14:00 St. Petersburg time. 

The first match for the blue-white-sky blues in the new kit will be this Sunday in Khabarovsk.
