Roberto Mancini: "In the second half we played much better"

The blue-white-sky blue boss on the win in Perm, Kokorin's latest goal and the rumors about Noboa, Yerokhin and Dzyuba.
I can only say that the game was very difficult, it was a very tough battle. This is to the credit of Amkar, who played a very good game.

How were you able to restrict Amkar to their half of the field in the second 45?

I want to say that we played much better in the second half than in the first. Due to our high pressure, we restricted them to minimum chances to enter our half of the pitch and so we managed to win.

There are rumours that Zenit have problems in the attack, why do you think this is? And can you comment on the rumors about loaning Noboa and Yerokhin to Rubin?

As for Yerokhin and Noboa, I hear about this for the first time. As for problems in attack, just look at the statistics. Maybe I'm wrong, but we have scored the most goals this season among all teams, at least for now.

Does Dzyuba not fit with your system? Why isn't he playing?

Dzyuba, Shatov, Anyukov and Zhirkov are all injured. We manage to play well and win with Kokorin and Druissi in the attack, but I'm sure that Dzyuba's time will come.

Can you explain Kokorin's great form at the start of the championship?

This is what he does and what he can do, because I'm sure that this is only the beginning for him and his potential has not yet been revealed. This is the result of his hard work in training. From the first day at the training camp he has taken every training session seriously and shown his skills. He has a very professional attitude to what he does.

Was it difficult on the artificial pitch?

Yes, it was not easy. Artificial pitches are always difficult to play on. Amkar are used to this pitch. Also, the difficulties were caused by the fact that we have a very tight fixture list, we are playing almost every three days and we do not have such a large squad for roatation.
