Yes, we immediately went to Rome after Glasgow. We had a short training camp there, where we practised daily. We had very good conditions both for training and for recovery. Everything went perfectly.
How important was it be with your family after the last match?
Yes we had a chance to see our families and chat with them, the weather wasn’t that good, so we had some time to see our loved ones.
How is the new pitch? it looks perfect.
The pitch is excellent, it’s at home so I hope that the match will be completely different and we will get a result.
In the first match Zenit appeared to lack match fitness, is that a fair comment, are you fitter now and are you a different team at home than away?
I don’t think we lacked match fitness, it was just the first match of the season and Celtic are in better form. Of course it was very tough for us, but playing in front of our fans will help us tomorrow and I’m sure we will be better.
Your last match you played directly against Tierney and he had a good game, how do you rate him and the rest of the Celtic team?
Yes he’s a good player with a great left foot. The whole celtic team were good and played well, in the second half we improved and managed to stop them and it was a shame to lose the game towards the end.
