Yuri Zhirkov joined Zenit on 30 January 2016 and has played 67 matches for the blue-white-sky blues, scoring two goals and making four assists, he has won the Russian Cup and the Russian Super Cup. 

During his career he has won both the Russian and English league titles, as well as the FA Cup, the UEFA Cup and with Russia he reached the semi-finals of Euro 2008 and was nominated for the Golden Ball. 

Zhirkov has won 84 caps for Russia and is part of the Russia squad for this summer's World Cup.
