Stadium St. Petersburg sets new attendance record during the World Cup

On 15 June our stadium hosted the first of its seven games at this summer's FIFA World Cup.
The Morocco v Iran match was attended by 62,548 fans.beating the previous attendance record of 57,268 set at the 2017 Confederations Cup game between Chile and Germany.

Zenit's record club attendance was set in August 2017, when 53,359 people saw us host Spartak Moscow. 

The stadium's capacity has been enlarged to 64,468 especially for the World Cup and fans will have six more chances to watch a game in St. Petersburg, including the semi-final and third-place playoff.
