Luka was born in Budva in Montenegro and joined Zenit in 2012. Before moving to St. Petersburg he played 26 matches in the Montenegrin Championship for Mogren and scored 10 goals. 

Since joining Zenit, Luka has gone on loan to a number of clubs including Sampdoria and Twente. He spent last season on loan at Arsenal Tula and scored 7 goals for them.

Luka has played 29 games for Zenit and scored three goals, including the late winner in the 4-3 thriller in the Europa League against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
