France defeated Belgium 1-0 with the only goal of the game coming from Samuel Umtiti, the defender heading in a corner. The game was attended by 64,286 fans making the total attendance across all six games held at Stadium St. Petersburg 384,280 people. 

The final World Cup game to be held in St. Petersburg will be held on 14 July. The third place playoff will be between Belgium and the loser of Wednesday's England v Croatia semi-final.
