Artem Dzyuba hits a million on Instagram

The blue-white-sky blue and Russia striker gained more subscribers on social networks during the World Cup than any other player.
Before the World Cup got underway, Artem Dzyuba had 177,000 followers on Instagram, by 12 July, he'd reached a million!

Interest in Zenit players who played at the  has also increased during the World Cup. Alexander Yerokhin's following grew by 49% to 26,000, Yuri Zhirkov by 30% to 83,000, Andrei Lunev by 14% to 40,000. Daler Kuzyaev and Igor Smolnikov don't have social media ccounts, although Igot has a fan page with 57,000 followers. 

According to Match TV, more than 2.4 million users subscribed to the Russian players during the World Cup. 

Other Zenit players active on social media include Sebastian Driussi (753,000 subscribers on Instagram and 352,000 on Twitter), Matias Kranevitter (711,000 subscribers), Leandro Paredes (506,000 on Instagram and 135,000 on Twitter), Emanuel Mammana (431,000 on Instagram, 60,000 on Twitter), Alexander Kokorin (331,000 on Instagram, 100,000 on Twitter) and Christian Noboa (360,000).
