Dmitri was born in Stavropol in southern Russia but began his career at Lokomotiv Moscow. However he only made one appearance for the club, in 2009.  In 2012 he moved to Rostov, where he played 156 matches, scored 29 goals and led the team to a runners-up medal in the Russian championship and won the Russian Cup. In June 2017 he joined us at Zenit and has played 31 matches, scored 3 goals and made 5 assists.
