Sergei Semak: "It was an interesting game with lots of goals"

The Zenit boss on the six-goal thriller with Inter Milan in Pisa.
Can we say that a draw with Inter is the most positive moment of pre-season training?

Yes that's absolutely true and not a bad point. It turned out to be an interesting game with lots of goals scored. It was Informative and a good match for analysis against a very decent opponent. The excitement around the match was huge, playing here at this stadium with a big crowd was great. The organization, the arena, the pitch the game, all were good. It's given us lots to think about.

Christian Noboa has told us these goals were not by chance, but the result of training, is that right?

Of course, I can ask the team for anything and those guys have decent and well-delivered shots, the goals happen because they shot. There is always a chance for this to happen and without shots, there are no goals. Especially as we have players who do that well and we need to encouraged them.

How many times today did you embrace Luciano Spalletti today?

Not so many, before the game, before when we met in the locker rooms and after the match. Three times, that's about usual.

Are you pleased with the results of pre-season training?

There were some difficulties because of the World Cup and we had to alter the plans a little. Not everyone has been able to rest enough, and many are at different levels of match fitness. We brough the World Cup players to the camp so they could see what direction we are moving in, how we need to play and to whom, to relax, to approach the first official match in good form.

The team returns to St. Petersburg and will have two days of rest. Next we will start work and planing for the first official match.
