Javier Ribalta was born on 14 September 1980 and began his professional career in July 2008 as a scout with Torino, A year later, in the summer of 2009, he took up a similar position with AC Milan, before becoming head scout of Novara. 

In 2012, Javier joined Juventus, where he spent five years and was responsible for a number of high profile signings. He then took over at Manchester United before joining Zenit in the summer of 2018.
