The game ended 1-0 to the blue-white-sky blues with the winning goal coming in the 91st minute from central defender Vladislav Molchan after a corner. 

Danila Proshlyakova hit the post from the penalty spot for the away side in the 12th minute and the Muscovites were unable to break Zenit's resistance at the back.

Having won against Spartak, Zenit are now on 17 points and have moved up to sixth place in the standings. 

The next match for Zenit U19s is on 20 October away to Dynamo Moscow.
