Anton Zabolotny: “From tomorrow everything will be forgotten and we will start again”

The Zenit striker on the defeat to CSKA Moscow.
The first half wasn't good, they were fresher and better than us. The second half was better, but we didn't score.

Were you ready for CSKA to start the game so powerfully?

Of course, everyone is preparing for a derby like this. Both teams go on to the pitch totally ready.

After the match, Semak said that the team is at the end of a heavy fixture cycle and feels very tired. Do you agree with those words?

Yes, we have a tough fixture list, but CSKA have about the same. To blame it on fatigue is not our style. The most important thing is to play well. In the second half, we looked better, but unfortunately still lost.

After learning about your call-up by Russia, were you motivated? Or has this spoilt your mood?

Of course, when you lose it's not nice. Tomorrow everything will be forgotten and will we start again.

How will this defeat affect the title fight? Will Zenit find it harder to stay in the first place?

Why? We are still in first place. One game does not decide everything. In the next match we will also play to win.
