Happy 65th birthday to Anatoly Davidov

Zenit's record appearance holder and director of the Gazprom Academy Anatoly Viktorovich Davydov celebrates his 65th birthday today, on 13 November.
Anatoly Davydov was born on 13 November 1953 in Tula. He joined Zenit in 1975 and played 456 matches for the blue-white-sky blues, setting a club record and winning the title with the club in 1984.

In 1997 at the age of 43, he ended his playing career and joined the Zenit coaching staff. In 1998 he was appointed head coach of the team, and in May 1999 led the club to victory in the Russian Cup, the first trophy in the club's recent history. 

In October 2009, Anatoly Davydov was re-appointed as head coach led the team to third place in the league. Since then Anatoly has held many roles within the club and is the current director of the club's academy.
