Zenit and the Alexandrinsky Theatre sign a cooperation agreement

The two city organisations signed a deal at the VII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.
2019 has been named as the year of theatre in Russia and the deal between Zenit and the Alexandrinsky Theater will be aimed at finding new ways of working together between culture and sports.

“As you understand, football is also a theatre,” said Sergey Fursenko, the Zenit president. "There is a director, there are performers and I am sure that this deal will be very useful for both the fans and the players. We have a big Gazprom Academy that has 1,700 young players in it. I know that the Alexandrinsky Theatre has 1,700 seats, so we could fully occupy the entire hall. Zenit and the Alexandrinsky Theater are in many ways similar, making people happy and striving to entertain our audiences and educate the younger generation."

As part of the partnership agreement, the blue-white-sky blues and the Alexandrinsky Theatre plan to hold joint events, exhibitions at Stadium St. Petersburg and to cooperate in hosting the All-Russian Theatre Olympiad.
