Robert Mak: “The manager told me that he wanted out on the left and I think it worked!”

The Zenit winger spoke to us after the win over Rostov.
Robert, what can you say to us about today's match?

We started the match very well from the first minute, we scored a quick goal and we kept control of the game so it was all in our own hands. Rostov had a few chances, but on the whole we controlled the game, we created some good chances. I think it was one of the best games we've played recently. We are happy that we managed to get such a good result.

How about the position you played today?

Yes, it was unusual. The manager told me that he wanted out on the left and I think it worked. I gave everything I had in both attack and defence. This may not be exactly my position, but I like to play on the left. I did my best to help the team and we got an excellent result, we scored two goals and this was a really important game and we continue to win. On Thursday we have a very important game.

Was it a penalty when you went down in the box?

The defender did push me, but the ref did not think it was a foul. That was his decision.
