Arsenal Tula v Zenit: Hernani scores one and makes another but Zenit still lose

The blue-white-sky blues lost 4-2 in Tula in the last away league game of 2018.
In what was a thrilling game for the neutral, Zenit and Arsenal Tula shared six goals with three in each half.

Kwanga opened the scoring on six minutes capitalising on the home side breaking Zenit's offside trap and sliding in at the far post to score. Kuzyaev equalised on 21 minutes, turning home Hernani's cross in the box, but Arsenal regained their lead on 38 minutes after a wonderful solo goal from Mirzov, meaning the score was 2-1 at the break.

Sergei Semak's men came out strongly in the second half and soon brought the game level on 57 minutes. Hernani putting home a pass from Driussi after a goalmouth scramble.

However, our hosts took their chances and a mistake from Miha Mevlja on 75 minutes allowed Kwanga to score his second into an empty net. A few moments later Bakaev scored another good solo goal and secured the three points for Arsenal Tula.

Our next home game is on 9 December at home to Rubin Kazan. Zenit remain top of the Russian Premier Liga, two points ahead of Krasnodar.
