71,381 fans watched Russia beat Finland at the Gazprom Arena

The first ice hockey match at the Gazprom Arena saw a record number of spectators in attendance.
The previous record for an ice hockey match in Russia was held by Moscow's Luzhniki, when the USSR played Finland in 1957 in front of 55,000 spectators.

We played our final football game of 2018 on 9 December and exactly one week later the first ice hockey match in history took place in the arena, this will be followed by another on 22 December when SKA St. Petersburg and CSKA Moscow face off.
