Serdar Azmoun scored with the only goal of the game against Ural to secure Zenit the three points. He received 44.25% of the vote, beating Anton Miranchuk from Lokomotiv (14.84%) into second and Ayrton Lucas from Spartak (11.05%) into third.

Azmoun became the fourth Zenit player to win the award this season. Artem Dzyuba took the title in the first, third, fourth, fifth and tenth rounds of the RPL with Leandro Paredes and Sebastian Driussi taking the awards in matchweek's 12 and 15.
