The club's management visited the Gazprom Academy

On 7 March, Acting Chairman of the Board, Elena Ilyukhina and General Director-President  Alexander Medvedev visited the club's youth training centre.
Elena Ilyukhina and Alexander Medvedev met with management of the academy and discussed a number of ideas to further improve the football school.

The board members examined the training, medical and rehabilitation facilities at the academy, as well as the boarding school.

Elena Ilyukhina told us: “My impression of the academy are very positive and exciting. The school has great infrastructure with very special conditions for the children studying here. Everything for their training, accommodation and medical care is here and it's very good."

Elena continued: "I would also like to say that the people working at the academy love and know their job very well, they are real professionals. They have great pride in the school and all these factors are allowing the academy to develop even more, we will assist in this in every way possible."

Alexander Medvedev added: "we have a very good academy, it's a very good base with excellent coaching staff. We also have the centre for training coaches, which will positively influence the training of our own students."

"We plan to direct even more energy to developing the academy. The academy's system of training from the academy to the youth team, to Zenit-2 to the first team will continue. I am sure that we will see graduates of the academy playing at the highest level. Of course, nothing can be changed in one day, but we already have a very good foundation, we have our own methods, we have good contacts with the top player training facilities in other countries. All this contributes to the fact that we are preparing good players, and them getting to the first team will make blue-white-sky blues fan's hearts beat even faster!"
