Sergey Semak: “The team showed character and strength”
First of all, we need to thank our fans and the team. It wasn't easy only having only two days to recover, we showed character and strength. Unfortunately, we didn't win and we really wanted to, but it didn't work out that way. As for the match, we did not start very well, Spartak looked fresher at the beginning of the game. Otherwise, we played better and had good chances. It's a shame we didn't win.

Should there have been a penalty for the foul on Dzuba? And was the refereeing today?

It was strange to appoint a ref who received poor marks in the first match. I don't know whose decision it was, the refereeing committee or someone else. I have a lot of questions about this. I've watched the replay and for me it was absolutely a penalty. Of course, the experts will take a look and express their opinions. But it was a penalty. It would be better if there were fewer contentious issues and we did not depend on the opinion of a particular referee.

How did you rate Lunev's performance? In particular, the way he distributed the ball. And what should Azmoun do to help his finishing?

As for Lunev, his participation in the game was questionable until the last moment and I have no complaints about him. I am grateful that he could go out and play. As for his distribution, this is not the strongest quality of our goalkeepers. In Europe, goalkeepers are very good at playing with their feet, here we are behind. Andrey plays OK with his feet, but there is something to work on. As for Serdar, with experience everything will come. He scores a lot, but maybe he can score even more. We will work on that in training.
