FIDE General Director Emil Sutovsky, Marketing Director David Llada, Legal Adviser Alexander Martynov and Executive Director of the St. Petersburg Chess Federation Vladimir Bykov met with Zenit President Alexander Medvedev. 

The parties discussed cooperation between the blue-white-sky blues and the International Chess Federation, in particular, the possibility of introducing chess into the training program for students at the Gazprom Academy and for the transfer of experience and knowledge between the two organisations in the field of marketing and corporate management.

Zenit, the St. Petersburg Chess Federation and the Bronze Horseman Chess Club arranged the school of grandmasters at Gazprom Arena on 23 March 2019 and a number of international grandmasters took part in the event. During the school of grandmasters, fans solved chess problems, played matches against great players and watched exhibition matches involving Zenit players. 

The school of grandmasters will be at all our home matches for the remainder of the season and can be is located on the fifth floor of the Rossiya Airlines Stand C at the Gazprom Arena.
