The club remembers those who played in the match in besieged Leningrad

On 31 May a delegation from the club laid flowers at the monument at the Dynamo Stadium.
Anatoly Davydov led a group of coaches, players and staff from the club and paid tribute to those who took part in the match 77 years ago.

The game happened on 31 May 1942, at the height of the Leningrad Blockade during World War II. Teams from the Leningrad Metal Plant and Dynamo played a game amidst the destruction of the war and the match took on an important ideological status as it showed residents of the beleaguered city that life was going on and Leningrad, and the country was surviving.

The monument to the match was erected at the small Dynamo Stadium on Krestovsky Island on 2012.
