UEFA: “The Gazprom Arena has an excellent chance of hosting the Champions League final”

UEFA's Martin Kallen made the statement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The Gazprom Arena is bidding to host the 2020/21 Champions League final with the only other competitor being Munich's Allianz Arena.

Martin Kallen stated: "St. Petersburg has an excellent application that has every chance of winning, it's a beautiful city, with a new arena that hosted World Cup matches where everything was perfectly organised. Its rival, Munich, also has a beautiful stadium, it is new, but not as new as the arena in St. Petersburg. Both applications are very strong and it will be interesting to see which of them will eventually win the right to host the final."

UEFA's decision as to who will hold the Champions League final will be announced in September.
