Torpedo Vladimir v Zenit-2: The blue-white-sky blues suffered their first defeat of the season

The St. Petersburg team lost 2-1 to Torpedo Vladimir away in the 3rd round of Olymp PFL.

The game kicked off with a lot of pressure from Zenit’s side and on the 23rd minute Sinyak scored with a through ball assist from Shamkin.

Torpedo had a few chances but Zenit’s defence was on point, not letting anything through, while having opportunities to increase the score themselves.

However, an unlucky free kick for the home side and they managed to even out the score before half-time, making 1-1

The second half for Zenit-2 began the same way as the first half ended; a fast break by Torpedo and they went ahead 2-1.

Blue-white-sky blues gave it their all and got a large amount of chances, but could not put away another goal.

After losing to Torpedo Vladimir, Zenit’s second side started training for their friendly game against Barcelona’s youth team. The game will be played at Gazprom Academy, on the 9 August at 18:00.
