Malcom: "I’m starting Russian lessons very soon and I’m excited!"

The Brazilian winger on making his debut at the Gazprom Arena.
How do you feel about your first game for Zenit?

It was a tough game and the unfortunate own goal put us in a position of chasing it back. I know that Krasnodar are one of the best teams in the league ao we had to show a good game. We have to train during the week, work on our mistakes and we’ll play better next time. But I feel like I played well for my first time.

How do you feel in St. Petersburg? It’s only been two days, but do you like it here

It’s hard to understand the language and speak with everyone, but my teammates and the club are very welcoming and are doing everything for me to adapt well here! Life is good and I’m happy.

Will you be learning Russian as we know you’ve been studying the language wherever you've played?

Oh yes, I’m starting very soon, and I’m excited.
