Emiliano Rigoni was born on 4 February 1993 in Cordoba, Argentina. He began his career at Belgrano, before a move to Independente in 2016, where he played 47 matches, scored 13 goals and made 7 assists.
In August 2017, he joined the Zenit and while in St. Petersburg played 45 matches, scored 9 goals and made 11 assists, also winning the Russian title in 2018/19.
