On November 22, an international conference began at the Coach's Training Center at the Gazprom Academy.

The international conference has been organised by the Russian Football Union and UEFA and is focusing on training players in youth football and how to guarantee their successful move into a professional career.

Alexander Medvedev addressed those gathered: “I am glad to welcome all the coaches to our academy for this conference. We will have two days of interesting lectures, discussions and scientific reports. The theme of the conference is very important, training young children for a professional football career. This is a versatile subject and includes discussions around nutrition, medical care, injury rehab and the training process. All of these themes will be discussed at this seminar. This is an international conference and our guests from abroad will share their knowledge as to how they train their young players."

Speakers on day one of the conference include Vladimir Panikov, Russian national team fitness coach and his colleague from Croatia, Luka Milanovic, both of whom will report on how they work with their country's national teams. They will be joined by Hans Leiter, UEFA goalkeeper instructor.

Other speakers at the seminar include Chief Doctor of Zenit's youth team, Yuri Kozlov and his colleague from the Russian youth team Konstantin Modenov, the head of the RFU Refereeing Committee Nikolay Levnikov and many other coaches and experts from the Gazprom Academy and the Russian Football Union.
