Ilya Skrobotov: “I want to wish our fans and their loved ones good health”

We asked the blue-white-sky-blue defender about life in quarantine, his home training routine and more.

Being in quarantine can be incredibly boring. But quarantine for athletes causes issues due to the lack of proper training sessions. How do you cope with this at home?

Unfortunately, it’s hard and boring. During quarantine none of us can get a proper training session in, unlike at training or at games. Therefore, we try to maximise our efforts with training sessions ourselves at home.

Have the coaching staff provided any homework for training?

Recently, a new training coach (Luis Anula) joined the club and he has prepared us a program that everyone can perform at home. This program includes exercises for almost every muscle group.

How do you discuss the current situation with the team?

We stay in touch with the team on a daily basis, sending messages to the doctor about our health and temperature for example.

Do you have a message for the fans?

I want to wish our fans and their loved ones good health. Keep remembering to wash your hands and of course to love and cheer for Zenit!
