The Russian Football Union announced: “The RFU recognises that a technical error was made regarding the rule for the Russian Cup for the 2019-2020 season when deciding which team would play at home. The rule stated the home team would be the side that played fewer games at home, like the Khimki v Torpedo Moscow game. So the semi-final between Zenit and Spartak will be held in St. Petersburg."

The match will take place on 18 or 19 July at the Gazprom Arena.
