A while ago I visited an orphanage in Kingisepp, my hometown I was very sad to see some things there. Despite the best efforts of the staff, the children lacked some basic things. It was very different from some of the things I'd seen at similar orphanages in St. Petersburg. I saw that a lot of children needed help for them to just survive, not to mention anything more. These situations are hidden away from our daily lives, but my friends and I decided to create a foundation to help those who really need it.

The Children's Star has been around for about 5 years and we try every day to help children. I know how important a role football can play and we try and use sport, and especially football a lot. We slowly become part of Zenit's social responsibility project and the help the club has given children has been massive. We've received some recognition fr the work we've done and I am especially glad of the work we're doing.





We work with a lot of NGO and organisations to raise funds and do a lot to help these kids, Zenit have assisted immensely, but there is more to be done. Even though everything in the world has been put on pause, we are continuing to work hard and make sure there is support for these children from us and from Zenit, because right now people are even more in need.
