The Zenit flag is hoisted up the highest flagpole in Europe

In honour of winning our seventh league title, a giant Zenit flag has been hoisted to the top of the highest flagpole in Europe.

The flagpole stands at 105 meters and is located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland and near Gazprom's new HQ, the Lakhta Centre, the tallest building in Europe at 462 meters.

The pole can hold a flag of up to 20 x 30 meters and it's 105 meter height is exactly the same as the length of the Gazprom Arena's pitch!

The flagpole is part of the Gazprom Arena development programme, which also includes a water sports centre due to open in the spring of 2021.
